How does plastic pyrolysis equipment work?

The working principle of plastic pyrolysis equipment is mainly based on a high-temperature treatment process, which converts waste plastic into oil, gas and solid residue through a specific pyrolysis reactor. The following is a detailed explanation of the working principle of plastic pyrolysis equipment:

First, the waste plastics go through pre-processing processes, including shredding, magnetic separation and other steps to remove impurities and unify their sizes. The processed plastic raw materials are transported to the feed port of the pyrolysis reactor.

In the pyrolysis reactor, the heating furnace is started and begins to heat, so that the reaction chamber reaches the set high temperature condition. Waste plastics are subjected to high temperatures in the reaction chamber, and their macromolecular chains break and release a series of low molecular compounds, such as hydrocarbons, phenols, ketones, etc. These low molecular compounds are further decomposed into gaseous and liquid products.

The gaseous product is cooled through a condenser, causing the oil-gas mixture to condense into a liquid state. After three-stage precipitation, impurities and ash are removed, and the pure oil enters the oil storage tank through the separator and is used as chemical raw materials or fuel. At the same time, the remaining combustible flue gas is processed by a dechlorination and neutralization device to remove harmful substances such as hydrogen chloride and achieve purification.

The solid residue is discharged through the slag discharging machine. This part of the residue needs further processing to reduce the impact on the environment. Some advanced pyrolysis equipment are also equipped with exhaust gas treatment systems to treat the exhaust gas generated during the pyrolysis process to ensure that the emissions comply with environmental standards.

Throughout the entire process, the plastic pyrolysis equipment ensures the efficiency and safety of the pyrolysis process by precisely controlling the temperature and pressure in the reaction chamber. At the same time, the equipment is also equipped with an automated control system to realize real-time monitoring and adjustment of the pyrolysis process to ensure product quality and production stability.
